Kate Parham Kordsmeier is an Atlanta-based freelance food and travel writer for more than 100 publications, including USA Today, Travel + Leisure, The Washington Post, Conde Nast Traveler, EatingWell, Delta Sky, American Way and The Travel Channel. After stints in Los Angeles, Italy, Dallas and Washington D.C., Kate returned to her hometown of Atlanta, where she also develops recipes for publications like Cooking Light, Clean Eating and Shape. Kate is also the Atlanta Expert for About.com, the author of the cookbook Atlanta Chef’s Table: Extraordinary Recipes from the Big Peach and the founder of Root + Revel.

Before starting her freelance career, Kate worked as an online copywriter for Neiman Marcus. Other copywriting clients include Scoutmob, LuxuryLink, eBay, proPRcopy, and Blazej Accounting. Kate graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!), where she received a B.A. in Magazine Journalism and a B.S. in Consumer Journalism, with a concentration in fashion.
